Funny story, last weekend was the very first weekend I was away from
Remy. I went to visit a friend in Grand
Marais and Phil stayed home with Remy. I
knew when I left that there was a chance he’d walk when I was away because he
was so close to walking these last few days.
I got home, dropped my bags and guess who WALKED right to me. I was sooo shocked and I started crying. I was partly crying because I was so proud of
him and partly because I missed his first steps. And I only missed his first steps by about 30
minutes! Remy just wanted to surprise me
when I got home. :) And only 4 days after his 1st birthday (that should be easy to remember)! The funnier part of the story is that I had a
dream the night before that Remy had took his first steps. In my dream I watched him and instantly I
knew it wasn’t his first time and that he’d had practice. In my dream he had took his first steps at
daycare. I just find it funny that I had
this dream that Remy took his first steps and I knew I missed it and then I go
home and it was true! But even though
I missed it it was still an awesome surprise when I got home. He’s just sooo proud of himself! Thinking about the look on his face when he
walked to me is so precious and makes my heart melt. He’s still very unsure of himself and doesn’t
walk much. He only did it a few times
last night and a few times since then. But I’m sure after some practice over the
next few weeks he’ll be walking all over the place like a pro. :)
Proud momma right here!
I've tried to upload a video of this cuteness but for some reason blogger won't upload it... That's why it's taken me forever to post this! I keep trying and failing and I keep forgetting to ask my computer geek hubby to help me. Well, maybe eventually I'll edit this post and add the video. Until then, here's a picture of Remy being proud of himself because he just walked to his car and got in. :)
