Even though Remy is too young to realize it's Easter we still got him an Easter basket anyways. His eyes got wide when he saw it and he was all over it. Remy got some new clothes, bowls, sippy cups, and some toys (one too big to put in his basket). Then we dyed Easter eggs and Rem was too tired to stay up late to finish them. He obviously doesn't care about that though. But it was fun dying eggs. I felt like a kid again. ;)
On Easter Sunday Phil had to go to work so Rem and I were on our own. We just hung out around the house and then went to my aunt Barb's house late that afternoon. He was in such a good mood while we were there. He was soooo loud, happy screaming and squeals at the top of his lungs. I think he really likes the sound of his own voice these days. We left before dessert though because we had a 45 minute drive home and he still needed to eat supper. He was really happy when we got home too and didn't want to go to bed. By 8:00 I just put him in his crib, all smiles, and he chatted with himself and went to bed on his own. I'm so proud of him! He's been going to bed on his own a lot lately. But that's a topic for a different day. Hopefully next Easter we can spend the whole day as a family! I can't wait until he's old enough to hunt for his Easter basket and eggs!
